3.1 Phillip Lim Half D'Orsay Heels

It's not everyday that I have photo shoots with a new pair of shoes as the starring subject, but these beauties were definitely an exception. When I first laid my eyes on this fine specimen of footwear a few months ago on Shopbop.com, it was oh-so-bittersweet. Sweet, because I straightaway knew that the Cody's were my ultimate DREAM SHOE; the perfect versatile shade of nude, a thick heel that isn't too high, nor too low (comfort!), and half d'orsay -- which makes for a sleek and sexy cut along one's foot. However, bitter, because the nearly $700 price tag made my stomach churn. So I waited... and waited... praying that they would eventually go on sale, and if they did, hoped that I would catch them in time where my size was still available. I was the ultimate stalker when it came to these shoes, plain & simple! And lo and behold, they went on SALE! The size 8.5 was readily available for me to snatch up, and I did. They just arrived in the mail yesterday, and let me tell you, they are everything I hoped they'd be, and more! Dear Phillip Lim, thank you for making such beautiful shoes. They were worth every penny! ;)
